Icelandic Lamb

Ethically Raised. Grass Fed. No Hormones. No Antibiotics

Born and Raised on our farm in the beautiful Skagit Valley, our Icelandic meat lambs are born in the Spring and raised from their mother's milk and our own pasture, then butchered on the farm at 7 to 9 months of age.

Icelandic Lamb is a heritage breed which originated in Iceland, but which we raise at McIntyre Family Farm on lush, local pasture.

We strive to bring you delicious, ethically raised lamb for you and your family

How does buying lamb directly from McIntyre Family Farm work?

We know that buying from a local farm is not as easy as running down to the store, but we feel that the payoff is well worth it.

  • We sell whole lambs, butchered, cut, wrapped and frozen
  • $8 per pound based on hanging weight.  This includes slaughter fee as well as cut and wrap.  We pay our local processing partners on your behalf, so you just pay one amount.
  • Hanging weights range from 30 to 40 pounds as Icelandic sheep are a medium heritage breed.
  • When you buy from us, we collect a $50 deposit at the time of your order.  This deposit goes toward the final cost of your lamb.
  • We arrange for a local processor to come to the farm and butcher our fall lambs.  This season we are happy to be working with Del Foxs Meats to slaughter, cut and wrap your lamb.
  • When  your lamb is finished you can pick up directly from us, or check in with us about delivery schedules for Seattle, Bellingham, Sedro-Woolley and more. (remaining balance due at time of pick up/delivery)

This price includes slaughter fee and cut and wrap!

We work with local, on-farm butchers to bring you delicious lamb, while minimizing stress for the animals, and keeping the process simple for our customers
